Day 1-2: Departure to Australia
After your landing in Perth, you will be met at the airport and taken to your hotel.
Day 3: Perth and Fremantle
The start of your trip to Australia is the green city of Perth, which inspires with its lively art and culture scene. A stroll through the charming suburb of Fremantle, with its winding streets, picturesque harbor and historical architecture, takes you into the history of the region. A cruise down the Swan River takes you back to central Perth.
Day 4: Nambung-Nationalpark
Today’s destination takes you through the picturesque Swan Valley, which delights with rolling hills and beautiful wineries. Gain an insight into the settlement history of Australia on a detour to historic Guildford, before a unique landscape panorama presents itself to you in Nambung National Park. Dunes characterize the unreal desert landscape that marks the former shoreline of the Indian Ocean. The park’s most famous attraction is the Pinnacles, a 4,000 m2 area of countless jagged limestone pillars that rise up to five meters high out of the golden sand.
Day 5: Perth - Adelaide
Depart Perth and fly to the cosmopolitan seaside city of Adelaide. Known as the “Gateway to the Outback,” the city lures with churches and museums, numerous festivals and an up-and-coming night scene and inspires with its informal atmosphere.
Day 6: Kangaroo Island
Not far from Adelaide, just a few kilometers off the Australian coast, you will find a pristine natural paradise on Kangaroo Island. Characterized by wind and sea, the island presents itself with rugged hilly landscapes, dune fields and eucalyptus forests and creates a variety of habitats for the exotic wildlife that is native to this place. Take a leisurely stroll at Seal Bay, where sea lions sunbathe on the beach and between the dunes, look out for kangaroos on a hike through the dense bushland, and spot koalas, wallabies, monitor lizards and a variety of other species in the forests and bays. who live in this region.
Day 7: Adelaide

Day 8: Off to Alice Springs
Today you leave the coast and travel to the heart of the country, to the desert town of Alice Springs. Thanks to its location in the middle of the outback, the city is the ideal starting point for discovering the red heart of Australia. Pick up your rental car and get in the mood for the road trip that awaits you over the next few days.
Day 9: Kings Canyon
Embark on your rental car journey through the Australian outback. Eternal red desert landscapes, interrupted by rugged rocks and low bushes, characterize the lonely outback, which fascinates with its unique flora and fauna. Today’s highlight awaits you in Watarrka National Park, where you will discover Kings Canyon, Australia’s largest gorge. Reddish-yellow sandstone walls rise up to 250 m in height and offer a truly spectacular sight.
Day 10: Uluru
Take advantage of the morning for an easy hike along Kings Canyon before following the road to one of the country’s most famous attractions: Ayers Rock. The mighty red rock massif in the center of Australia, whose official name is Uluru, should not be missing on any trip to Australia. Marked by caves and historical paintings, the rock brings to life the Dreamtime myths that make Uluru sacred. Not far from here, the 36 to 546 m high monolithic rock formations Kata Tjuta, better known as “The Olgas”, offer a breathtaking panorama that invites you to dream in the glow of the setting sun.
Day 11: Darwin
With the impressions of the last few days in your luggage, you return your rental car and travel on to the port city of Darwin. The capital of the Northern Territory invites you to linger and relax with its authentic small town flair and picturesque beaches.
Day 12: Darwin - Kakadu-Nationalpark
Today you will drive your rental car to Kakadu National Park, not far from Darwin. The largest national park in Australia is not only a UNESCO World Heritage Site, countless prehistoric rock paintings also make it a World Heritage Site and make this area a highlight of Australia for those interested in nature and culture alike. With a diverse landscape, the park offers natural habitats for numerous animal and plant species between mighty rivers, rugged mountain slopes, deep gorges and tropical rainforest.
Day 13: Kakadu-Nationalpark
Today you take a boat trip on the Yellow Water, one of the four major rivers that flow through the park. Keep your eyes peeled for lurking crocodiles, exotic birds scurrying through the thick foliage, and koalas foraging in the branches of eucalyptus trees. In the afternoon drive back to Darwin.
Day 14: Cairns
From the west you fly to the north. Collect your rental car in the coastal city of Cairns, known as the gateway to the Great Barrier Reef. Cairns itself is idyllically situated between palm-fringed beaches, wonderful coral reefs and dense rainforest and delights with numerous clubs and bars, charming cafes and a relaxed and cosmopolitan atmosphere.
Day 15: Great Barrier Reef
A boat trip across the Indian Ocean is the prelude to your discoveries in the Great Barrier Reef. The mighty reef has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1981 and, with its almost 3,000 coral reefs, creates a unique ecosystem that can even be seen from space. Colorful corals and exotic sea creatures create a breathtaking blaze of color that you can discover up close on diving and snorkeling tours.
Day 16: Daintree-Rainforest
Not far from Cairns lies the oldest rainforest in the world. Start your excursion in the Mossman Gorge, which enchants with massive boulders, tall trees and the turquoise waters of the Mossman River. Exotic birds and rare species of wildlife hide among the dense ferns and fan palms, making this a nature lover’s paradise. Cruise the Daintree River to see saltwater crocodiles and colorful reptiles.
Day 17-18: Magnetic Island
Depart Cairns and take the ferry to Magnetic Island via Townsville. Day 19-20: Airlie Beach
Back on the mainland, follow the shoreline to Airlie Beach. The fine sandy beach is a paradise for those seeking peace and quiet and bathing enthusiasts and impresses with its proximity to the Great Barrier Reef and the Whitsunday Islands. Use the upcoming day off for example
a sailing tour through the island world of the Whitsundays or for a leisurely bathing day at Whitehaven Beach with its snow-white sand.
Day 21: Off to Sydney
Return your rental car in Airlie Beach and fly to Sydney. The largest city in Australia is future-oriented in multicultural diversity. The glass facades of futuristic buildings characterize the cityscape, shopping promenades present the latest trends and extensive parks such as the Royal Botanical Garden open up a world far away from the hustle and bustle that invites you to relax.
Day 22: Explore Sydney
Today you will discover the landmarks of Sydney. Stroll through the alleys of the historic district “The Rocks”, which offers sights such as the Opera House and the Harbor Bridge. Afterwards, a harbor tour including lunch offers you a very special perspective of the skyline of the metropolis.
Day 23: Blue Mountains
A fantastic landscape rests not far from Sydney. The Blue Mountains are famous for their biodiversity and invite you to long walks through the original nature. The mighty sandstone plateau impresses with rough gorges, bizarre rock formations and its dense eucalyptus forest, whose essential oils create a blue mist and give the region its name.
Day 24: Sydney on your own
Explore vibrant Sydney at your own pace today. Enjoy the skyline over a coffee in modern Darling Harbour, explore vibrant Chinatown with its colorful markets and experience the city’s nightlife in one of Kings Cross’ numerous bars.
Day 25: Sydney - Melbourne
Fly from Sydney to the bustling city of Melbourne, with its Victorian mansions, charming art galleries and numerous famous sporting venues.
Day 26: Melbourne and Phillip Island
Today, the pulsating metropolis of Melbourne invites you to take a city tour. Historic colonial architecture and picturesque parks characterize the city, which offers interesting museums and numerous concerts. After these discoveries, an enchanting natural spectacle awaits you on nearby Phillip Island, when countless little penguins return from the sea to their nesting sites in the dunes in a long “penguin parade”.
Day 27: Yara Valley
A picturesque wine region with idyllic vineyards and fertile hills opens up around the River Yara, not far from Melbourne. Enjoy fine wines and local specialties on today’s excursion before returning to Melbourne.
